Hi,
My first question is, where can I get a coenobita brevimanus? They seem really interesting, and would make great additions to my compressus colony. Also, do C.Compressus live as long as other species? I am looking for long living crabs, I just get so attached to my animals.
Thanks
James
Hiya James, we didn't think we could get anything other then PP's and Rugs until dee managed to get quite a selection including coenobita brevimanus, i'm sure dee could tell you where she got hers from.

As for life span i believe they are all pretty much the same, 30yrs plus, sorry i can't be any more help but i know very little about coenobita brevimanus hermies. Guests cannot see images in posts. Please register by clicking here to see images.

Hi,
I contacted exotic-pets.co.uk. They said they are looking into many different species, even Birgus latro!
Thanks
James
Hi James , I got mine from a little unlikely looking but well set up (compared to others) pet shop near salford, the name of which escapes me but i could find it again by trawling the yellow pages as i can remember roughly the address oddly!!!!
Would be nice to have a few different ones, good news about exotic pets though.
Funnily enough I brought your name up in a post the other day. Was it you that had the exotic live plants in your set up? I was wondering how they were doing in with the plant vandals.
I agree it would be great to see more species available here
Hi,
The plants have hardly been damaged! They like to climb them, but they aren't interested in eating them. The only plants that have been damaged were the mangrove and screw pine, because they climbed on them and bent a few leaves. The crabitat is looking good, a few bits of compost here and there and a few holes in the sand but that it all they have done really. They spend most of their time creating tunnels. The humidity is fine, temperature is 25 C, but they only properly come out at night. Just as I begin to drift off...Click Click! But I wouldn't change it for the world Guests cannot see images in posts. Please register by clicking here to see images.

Yep know what you mean. I thought I had an intruder the other night turned out to be good old Captain Chaos trying to move an enormous pebble...silly boy.
Glad the plants are still in one piece thoughGuests cannot see images in posts. Please register by clicking here to see images.
