just a few store food questions!
im new to using oils ....is it reccomended or better to put an oil on food every time you feed crabs (currently have cod liver oil and olive oil) or is dry food just as good?
powders - are these best sprinkled over food or given on the side?
earth worm plus - is that a food? & earth worm castings something to mix in the soil?
Chia Seeds - has anyone tried growing these in their tank?

I use the oils (cod liver and chilli) they certainly encourage feeding and of course re-hydrate the dried food. Like neta I use them 2/3 times a week but one of the times I do a mix of power powder, healthy topper and some powdered calcium I got off ebay. They really munch into that.
Sometimes I plant a couple of squash seeds in the coir bit of the tank they sprout up very quickly.
what seeds are you using christine? - lol just edited to say i see now you use squash seeds... i missread that and thought you said you squashed the seeds in the soil!!

just received my order today and everything looks so yummy and colourful!
can I ask about the powders? do you mix them up or put them out on their own, like beetroot powder for instance. I also bought the sunflower petals and crabby bouquet,,,do you put them out dry? or mix with oil as I saw mentioned above?
I have not really seen my crabs eating????? is this a nightly thing or do they come out and eat in the daytime? I've been putting fresh food out but not noticing it missing??? can I get them out and active in the day????

sometimes i sprinkle powders and flowers on top of other foods other times i just put small amounts in the bowl seperatly i also give dry and other times put a drop of oil on and also on occaisons mix it all up so they have plenty of verity i try not to give the same food 2 days running aswell
